The colours of the minerals used by ancient sailors have been reproduced in the design of these watches through forging, ion plating and masking processes, giving each bezel a unique look. The straps are made from translucent or coloured resin, and are uniquely textured using hot stamping and Garal colour moulding techniques. These limited edition watches are a celebration of G-SHOCK's 40th anniversary: the dial features the words "SINCE 1983", the case back is engraved with the 40th anniversary logo designed by Eric Haze, and the strap loop features four stars representing 40 years.
