The MRG-B2100 is based on the best in metalworking and features case and bezel components made from the incredibly hard Ti64 titanium alloy. The top of the bezel is made of COBARION*, an alloy four times stronger than pure titanium with a brilliant shine comparable to platinum. The strap is made of DAT55G**, another special titanium alloy that is highly resistant and easily malleable.
The bezel alone consists of 27 different components, all individually polished to achieve a spectacularly detailed texture. The advanced multi-protection structure incorporates buffers between the bezel and case parts to ensure exceptional shock absorption capacity for the bezel and the best possible protection for the MR-G module with a gold-plated retaining plate.
We took full advantage of these incredibly hard alloys, their scratch resistance and their suitability for mirror finishing by applying beautiful diamond-like finishes and carbon coating to provide a sophisticated black sheen.
The dial of the watch is inspired by the traditional Japanese art of joining wooden parts together called kigumi, which, like the bezel of this MRG-B2100, incorporates a large number of small components. This traditional art is reflected in the complex two-part structure of the index marks and the depth and dimension of the dial pattern. As a result of craftsmanship and high-precision processing technology, the small openings in the dial allow enough light to pass through to generate the solar energy needed to keep the rhythm going.
This masterpiece is much more than a magnificent tribute to metal craftsmanship. It also offers exceptional functionality with radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Bluetooth®.
